Respondents discussing the subject will be Dr Michaël Bauwens (Department of Philosophy of the University of Antwerp), Lorenz of Austria-Este and Dr Christian Gsodam (European External Action Service).
The event will also look at the life of Blessed Charles of Austria. In his homily at the mass of beatification Pope Saint John Paull II said “From the beginning, the Emperor Charles conceived of his office as a holy service to his people. His chief concern was to follow the Christian vocation to holiness also in his political actions. For this reason, his thoughts turned to social assistance. May he be an example for all of us, especially for those who have political responsibilities in Europe today!”
The event is organised by COMECE, the Chapel for Europe and Europäischen Zukunftsgesprächen.
