“Youth, Intergenerational Dialogue, and Faith-Based Political Engagement” – Brussels Expo, 28 September

COMECE is organising the conference “Youth, Intergenerational Dialogue, and Faith-Based Political Engagement” on Saturday, 28 September 2024, at Brussels Expo, Belgium. This event is part of the Hope Happening festival, taking place in conjunction with Pope Francis’ visit to Belgium. Register now!

The panel discussion will provide a platform for exchange on intergenerational dialogue, youth empowerment, and faith-based political engagement. Panelists will reflect on how to support young people’s development and aspirations in the European Union and how to strengthen intergenerational solidarity in today’s more polarised and increasingly complex world.

Speakers include:

  • Katalin Molnár, Deputy Permanent Representative of Hungary to the EU;
  • Aubérie Samson, Secretary General of Don Bosco Youth Net;
  • Jos Moons, Chaplain at KU Leuven.

The event will take place from 17:00 to 18:30 (CEST) on 28 September 2024 at Brussels Expo (Belgiëplein 1). Please note that the schedule may change slightly due to organisational reasons.

Participation is open to all registered attendees of the Hope Happening festival. If you did not register yet, please do it now by clicking here. Registration is mandatory. All festival participants will also have the opportunity to attend the Holy Mass celebrated by Pope Francis on Sunday, 29 September, at King Baudouin Stadium.

The conference is organised in cooperation with the Youth Pastoral service of the Belgian Bishops’ Conference, in the framework of COMECE’s work on youth policies.
